1. What is the electrode measuring?
using electrodes to record the activity of neurons
2. Why use leeches in neurophysiology experiments?
because it it has a simple nervous system and that simple nervous systems follow the same rules as complex nervous systems
3. What is the difference between a sensory and a motor neuron?
sensory neuron travels up toward the brain,motor neuron travels downward.
4. Do you think a leech experiences pain? What is pain?
first off, pain is a signal going to your brain and yes, I do think that leeches experience pain because if you stabbed a leech, it would squirm around as much as possible.
5. What were the two most interesting things about doing this lab?
that you couldn't screw anything up,and that they make the procedure and materials look so real
6. Anything you found confusing or didn't like about the lab?
I got creeped out when I saw the leech guts.If I had taken a real class for this you would hear the words EEEEEEEEWWW!!!!! and GROSSS!!!! alot...
